Babalola (Babs) Ogedengbe Kemi Bolade is a seasoned Journalist and a Legal Practitioner. She was born at Iseyin in Iseyin Local Government Area Council, Oyo North, Oyo State.
She attended Baptist Primary School at Iseyin and got her First School Leaving Certificate in (1981) before proceeding to Community High School, Elewura Challenge, Ibadan, where she obtained her West African School Certificate in 1986.
She also went to Times Journalism Institute (TJI) where she got Diploma in Journalism in 1989. She then attended Lagos State University (LASU) where she obtained Diploma in Law in 1992, She further proceeded to study Law still at the Lagos State University (LASU), where she received an LL. B (Hons.) Degree in 1998 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2001. She also holds a Master in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice (MLC) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.
She had worked with the Daily Times Nigeria PLC on various beats and elevated as Judicial/Legal Editor; she resigned from the organisation in 2000, to join Media Trust Newspaper, Abuja, where she was appointed as Judiciary Editor for the organisation.
In 2005, she joined the FCT Judiciary as a Legal Officer where she rose to the position of Head of Legal Unit before her transfer of service to the NJC. She won High Court of the FCT Certificate of Merit Award.
She is currently the Deputy Director, Information Department of the National Judicial Council.
